I would appreciate your consideration in re-electing me to a third term on the FM Board of Education.  Thanks to your support, I have had the privilege of serving on the FM Board of Education for the past six years, and have served on the Board's Policy Committee, Finance Committee, and Facilities Committee (which I have chaired for each the past 6 years).  I also serve on the District's Hall of Distinction Nominating Committee.

I am a lifelong FM resident, having attended Mott Road Elementary School and Wellwood Middle School before graduating from FM High School (Class of 1986).  My wife Jenée is also an FM graduate, and we have two children: one is a 2021 FM graduate and one attends FM High School.

 

Prior to my election to the FM Board of Education, I volunteered as a trustee of the FM Education Foundation, served as a youth soccer coach for 14 seasons, co-chaired the Cavalry Club swim program, served as a member of the F-M Community Facility Task Force and was involved in other FM programming. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University and earned my Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law. I am an attorney but have spent most of the last 18 years as president and co-founder of an international company that provides emergency technology and communication tools to fire departments, emergency medical services agencies, police departments and other first responder entities throughout North America.

Just as I promised when you first elected me to this Board, I have continued to speak and advocate for what I believe is right and what I believe is needed, even when that is a minority view.  The primary role of the Board of Education is oversight, and I take that responsibility seriously.  I have consistently asked questions, probed issues and offered suggested courses of action where I felt that to be necessary and appropriate.  I don't believe in simply filling a role of rubber stamping proposals.  Board members are elected to represent this community:  that is what I have done to the best of my ability and is what I pledge to continue to do if re-elected by you.
